Elisabeth, Feeding & Nutrition Advisor

Elisabeth Pedersen Advisory Dietitian

Your baby will grow, change and learn so quickly that just keeping up with their progress can be a real challenge. You can learn a lot by watching your baby’s needs and patterns of behaviour each day. It’s always helpful to talk with other mums, but it’s also great to have someone available with a broad and qualified experience in all aspects of feeding and nutrition.

Experience

As a New Zealand trained dietitian, I am always eager to share my first hand experience as a mum together with my many years of knowledge from food consulting, writing, broadcasting and cookery demonstrations.

Among the most frequent questions I am asked are those concerned with nutrition and baby feeding problems. Mums are naturally anxious about milk and food intolerances and identifying which formulas offer the best solutions to digestive upsets or irregular bowel motions. When the time comes for the introduction of solid foods, along comes a whole new set of challenges on how to get a “picky eater” to accept a new and wider variety of foods.

Some Useful Tips
  • Look after your health by eating well and regularly

  • When you are tired or worried, do ask for help

  • Remember, you are never alone
